The Adventure Continues: Cliffs of Moher, Wicklow Trail, Glendalough and St. Kevin’s Abbey

“Guinness Lake”
Cliffs of Moher

Well, that “nap” on the bus? Well, it didn’t happen.  It started to happen, then the bus driver started singing “Irish Songs”. I thought about jumping out the window after the rendition of Danny Boy, but I couldn’t get it open. Then it almost happened again, but “Bud” the bus driver began “fake” snoring, apparently we had gotten to quiet. SO, after 4 hours on the bus, we arrived at the Cliffs of Moher. I’ve not been in such wind since I lived in Bullhead City. It was actually pretty funny trying to walk up the incline with the wind blowing me backward! It was quite beautiful, and the rest of the trip was filled with nice stops along the ocean and exploring quaint little villages.

We went to Wicklow and Glendalough on a MUCH shorter/scenic trip on Saturday. The hike was quite nice, although NOT the hike that was described on the internet site. But, still quite nice. The trip to Glendalough and St. Kevin’s Abby was definitely a “Must Do”! It is absolutely beautiful and very tranquil even with the crowds!

Based on your photos so far, I’d say Guinness Lake would be my favorite spot…

Yes! I was about to jump the wall and run down and dive in and drink until I puked, but then the guide said it wasn’t filled with Guinness. AND it was all private. Leave it to the Irish to be such horders!
