When It Rains, The Hay Grows. Makin’ Hay While The Sun Shines

15 May

Since my last post I REALLY DID quit my job of 12 years. I truly felt like a turtle crawling out from a ton of crap! To all of you turtles trapped under a similar pile of dung: Keep climbing! It’s beautiful out here in the sunshine!

When I left my prior employer, I had found a VERY part time job. I’d taken a $10.00/hour cut in pay and wondered “Just where is the money going to come from? Everyone is telling me there are no jobs in Ultrasound with all of the “New Grad’s” coming out. They work for cheap, and don’t complain.” Well, let me tell you. It’s a lie! There are plenty of jobs out there, and the pay isn’t minimum wage either! As for the “New Grad’s”, they just don’t have the experience that is needed for this type of work. At least the majority don’t.

So, I have 3 part time jobs, one of which is a contracted position, which is even better for me as I just started an LLC. I’m working 6 days a week at this point, but it feels like 3 after the “12 years of digging myself into the sunshine”!  I have time to watch the sunsets again, go hiking in the mornings, and truly enjoy the people I work with. I have variety in my work life again. My illnesses are fading away, and I feel like I’m living in the sunlight again. And enjoying every minute of it!

So dig yourself out of that crap hole you’re in, if you’reImage in one. Don’t be afraid of change. You are the only one holding you back.

I’ve dug, and I’m still digging. But I’m beginning to feel that 100-degree sunshine!
