About One lucky girl

I was born over a half century ago. Old by some standards, still a spring chicken by others.

I have my share of emotional, psychological and physical scars to prove my time on this planet.

As a kid, my family moved around a lot. Transient is a good word for it. No, we weren’t military. Just transient.

My dad died when I was 7. A massive heart attack. He had several from the time I can remember.
About that time two of my brothers joined the Army. Vietnam was revving up.

My mom met a man who would become what I still consider to this day to be one of the worst people to come into my life. He was an emotional abuser and a leach. But, without his negative influence I probably would not strive for and attain the goals I have reached.
I have realized that there is nothing I can do about those days in the past. Only accept that they have helped create who I am. The only time we have is NOW.

My goal is to inspire those who read this, as well as my friends and family, to go out and live every day. I mean REALLY live.
With every breath you take decipher every molecule of scent. Let it bring back memories or create new ones.

Know that there is no reality, only perception. What you perceive is what you live. I choose to perceive my life as limitless, full of love, peace and laughter.
Have fun on this journey we call life.

In the words of Jimmy Buffett “There’s no re-wind and no re-play”.
Be kind to each other.

Okay, Deb, I checked out your site, and I’m impressed! I can’t find any movie reviews, but that’s okay…from now on, I’ll try to live each day as if it were my last, or first, or whatever…something I haven’t done in a long time. Not sure if I’m ready to give up dairy yet, though…

      Todd,
I’m so glad you’ve joined the “out-side”. Thanks for the idea of including an ocassional movie review. Better yet, you can be a “guest” movie reviewer; to keep it fresh-ly…
And have an ice cream cone for me, will ya?!

Hi Deb, thanks for dropping by my site with a “like.” Anybody wearing a cycling helmet in their Gravatar photo is okay in my book…have a great week.

    Be encouraged!

I stumbled upon you from Jump for Joy. I try and find as many positive/inspirational blogs I can and pass them along to other positive minded folks.

AND, any ultra zombie is a friend of mine!
